Wallpaper Removal

Sometimes Wallpaper Removal is not fun – These are a series of photos of a clients home where we removed some wallpaper. Now that’s a wallpaper you’d want to get rid of – Oh Yeah! anyway we pulled the front off and sometimes when we do this we find interesting preparation underneath. On this job the person had repaired some drywall and not primed the walls. We had to steam some of the paper off ( that’s my last resort – using a steamer ) but sometimes it’s the only way to get the paper off.

Then we have to wash off the glue and patch the walls. When I’m pricing wallpaper I usually give a price for removing the paper, washing and minimum patching. If there is any major problems we find, that is extra ( because we can’t see them when estimating ) Anyway everything always works out all right in the end. I don’t have any photos after we’re done but you can see what surprises we find underneath, Wallpaper Removal - Not Fun!

This is another clients home who wanted House Painting. It was a new resale purchase and we painted the whole house, except for some ceilings. Very nice townhouse and first step is painting ceilings, patching walls, then spot priming after sanding. Most of the time there is no need to prime walls. In the paint store they usually tell you that you need it but if your using a top line paint they are usually 100% Acrylic and that will stick very well as long as your walls are not dusty or greasy. Wash any walls if they are greasy (kitchen areas) you could use tsp.

Then we painted 2 coats on the walls and the trim got 1 good coat here. If the trim is already white most of the time we can finish it nicely with 1 good coat. I don’t have any before photo’s on this one. If your not up to the job of painting yourself, give us a call we’ll be glad to give you a free estimate on your House Painting. 519-721-1695

These are some Photos of painting Interior Steel Doors

Photo #1 First we use var sol or paint thinner to remove the oil that is usually on the doors from the factory. there are stickers that have to be removed as well and possibly use paint thinner to remove the glue. Then we have to prime the doors ( primer sticks to the metal ) then the paint will adhere to the primer coat.

Photo #2 I think this was 1 finish coat on the doors and wall on top of the primer coat.

Photo #3 The final finish is on the walls and the doors and door frame.

These are some photos of another project we finished. It was completed a short while ago. I am just a little slow to get the photos online! Johana was nice enough to provide the photos of her home. I only have the finished photos. Johana’s house is new and she wanted to add some life to to the builders beige. There wasn’t a lot of patching so we were able to give a discount for that. We really enjoyed the finished look at the end. Thanks Johana!

Many of the upscale homes being built today have great rooms that are 20 feet high and sometimes the only way to work is with a scaffold. This project was a great room for a customer who was getting the house ready to sell. The end color was an olive green and it looked great. So if you need painting with a scaffold be sure to use professionals who are insured.
