Here is a before and after of our Kitchen Cabinet Painting. After we have agreed on a price,
We need to know what color you would like. We use Benjamin Moore colors and we need to know the color at least a week before we start. Then we set up a time when we can pick up the doors. when we come it takes between 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how large your kitchen is, to remove the doors. There is no need to empty your cabinets.
We take the doors to our shop for a thorough cleaning of grease and food residue. Sanding and priming with an oil based primer to seal. then we look for things needing repair and patching like small dents and scratches, possibly fill holes for new handle locations, then prime again.
Then we spray 2 coats water based lacquer and let them dry and then we are ready to work on the boxes or cabinet frames in the house. Same preocess but usually we hand roll this part. We can spray but there is an extra charge for set up. Most times if cabinets are oak there is no need to spray, if maple some people prefer to spray because the finish is very smooth. Then we put the doors back on and handles and you are done, easy peasy Kitchen Cabinet Painting!
